Jacob Wilson, LCSW

Jake received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Boise State University and his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Reno.  For the past 17 years, he has worked in community mental health, private practice, inpatient and emergency room, integrated behavioral health, and various other areas of the field. For the past 4 years Jake has been providing clinical and operational oversight for all IBH programs as well as a specialty behavioral health clinic in a large healthcare system. Over the years Jake has developed a passion for improving access to behavioral health services to rural and underserved populations through programmatic development and community partnerships. Jake lives in McCall, Idaho with his wife and two children.

Ross Novick is the Chief Financial Management Officer with Cornerstone Whole Healthcare Organization, INC (C-WHO). Ross obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University.  He has extensive background in finance and management working in NW Arkansas and California.  He has passion for helping non-profits achieve their goals. When Ross is not working, he loves to run and mountain bike on the incredible trails of NW Arkansas.

Justin Chown currently works as a consulting Data Scientist for Cornerstone Whole Healthcare Organization, Inc. (C-WHO) and as a full-time Data Scientist for Micron Technology, Inc. His work at C-WHO focuses on automation and data processing using statistical methods, including image ingestion and data interpretation from imperfect sources like scanned behavioral health screeners. In addition, he works with the Microsoft Azure platform to look into data handling that requires optical character recognition and similar Azure data services. Prior to joining C-WHO, Justin received his PhD in statistics from Texas A&M University, and he worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Catholic University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, BE) and the Ruhr-University Bochum (Bochum, DE).

Asonya is currently the Service Delivery Director for C-WHO. She has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare information technology.  She has a strong background in software development, interfaces and integrations.  She loves to spend time outdoors with her son, husband and dogs.  She also enjoys playing tennis, basketball, soccer and visiting the zoo with her son and husband.

Linda Cardwell is the Chief Marketing Officer for Cornerstone Whole Healthcare Organization. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Azusa Pacific University with an emphasis in providing marketing expertise to non-profits. Her background includes project management, content development, partner management, marketing automation, and digital marketing. She has over 10 years of marketing experience and is passionate about utilizing her expertise to help nonprofits move their missions forward. At C-WHO Linda has created brand consistency to establish a higher level of professionalism and customer loyalty. She has provided effective marketing materials (flyers, brochures, social media campaigns, and website design) to increase communication and overall promotion of programs and networks. She has implemented and managed a learning platform for asynchronous training for healthcare professionals and has assisted in conference and event management. Linda not only brings this skillset and expertise to C-WHO but to all of C-WHO’s customers as a tailored service to increase their effectiveness in their communities.

Maria Torres, LCSW

Maria G. Torres is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned a master’s degree in social work and a bachelor’s degree in social work and Spanish at Boise State University. She has served in social work roles for the state’s Child Protective Services with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Worked with St. Luke’s Health Services as an emergency room and hospital social worker. Before joining Saltzer Health in 2018, Torres was a Behavioral Health Consultant at Terry Reilly, a federally qualified health center. At Saltzer Health, Maria developed an Integrated Behavioral Health program. She is currently an independent contractor for C-WHO. Maria has presented at conferences on cultural competency and working with the Latinx population. She has been a member of the National Association of Social Workers for 16 years and is serving as the vice president for NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Idaho chapter.

Amy Walters, PhD

Amy Walters, PhD is a clinical health psychologist and a consultant with Cornerstone Whole Healthcare Organization. For more than a decade she has served as the director of behavioral health services for an integrated behavioral health diabetes program. Dr. Walters provides professional presentations and training in behavioral health integration, Motivational Interviewing, behavioral supports of diabetes and psychological factors impacting chronic disease.  She has completed consultation and trainings for a number of state and national organizations including the American Psychological Association, Dialysis Patient Citizens, Idaho State University community paramedics program, Idaho Primary Care Association, Idaho Dietetics Association, Idaho Diabetes Alliance, Idaho WIC program,  Idaho Perinatal Project and many others.

Dr. Walters received her Ph.D. from Utah State University and has over 20 years of experience working in clinical and community settings with adult and pediatric populations. She received post-doctoral training in Motivational Interviewing (with founder Bill Miller, PhD) and in PCBH integration model (with founders Patti Robinson, PhD and Kirk Strosahl, PhD).  She is a long-standing board member of the Idaho Psychological Association, the APA Public Education Campaign Coordinator for Idaho and was a founding member of the Idaho Integrated Behavioral Health Network.  Dr. Walters volunteers as the staff psychologist for Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs (Camp Hodia) and has a daughter with type 1 diabetes.  She is a native Idahoan and is passionate about creating behavioral health support for patients with chronic disease, especially in the state’s rural areas. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and backpacking.
